Sunnyland Tailgate Brownies

Enjoy football season with a tailgate dessert that will satisfy cravings for soemthing sweet adn salty. These brownies are delicious and the ingredient list is likley to already be in your pantry. Recipe and photos by Staci Willson

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 12 oz dark or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup Sunnyland Junior Pecan Halves, chopped
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup vegatable oil

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter, oil & chocolate in a sauté pan, do not burn.
  2. Heat the oven to 350. Line the base of a shallow baking dish with wax paper.
  3. Mix all dry ingredients into a bowl. Mix the sugar and eggs with mixer until creamy.
  4. Pour and fold into sugar mixture the melted chocolate mixture, milk and vanilla.
  5. Fold in dry ingredients and pecans.
  6. Spoon batter into pan. Sprinkle Brownie Batter with Tailgate Toppings, sprinkle with brown sugar and a bit of sea salt.
  7. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes and finish after cooling with drizzle caramel sauce.
