Maple Peach Pecan Bars
Instructions
This recipe pairs the best of Georgia- pecans and peaches to create Maple Peach Pecan Bars.
Ingredients
- 4 medium Sunnyland peaches (2 cups diced)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Mix all jam ingredients together on stovetop and bring to a boil, stir constantly and cook until fruit is soft and jammy.About ten-12 minutes. Set aside.
- Mix flour, salt, cinnamon, powdered sugar, baking powder together, stir in copped pecans pieces.
- Add softened butter to dry mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Set aside about 2/3 cup of dough for topping.
- In a 9x12 pan, line with parchment paper and press remaining dough gently into pan, pressing into pan evenly.
- Top crust with peach jam, Pecan Halves, then remaining dough, crumbled gently on top.
- Bake at preheated at 375 for 30-35 minutes.
- Let cool and finish with a drizzle of maple syrup on each bar.
