Ingredients:

MAPLE PEACH JAM

  • 4 medium Sunnyland peaches (2 cups diced)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

PECAN CRUST

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped Sunnyland Pecans
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 sticks salted butter

Directions:

Mix all jam ingredients together on stovetop and bring to a boil, stir constantly and cook until fruit is soft and jammy. About ten-12 minutes. Set aside. Mix flour, salt, cinnamon, powdered sugar, baking powder together, stir in copped pecans pieces. Add softened butter to dry mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms. Set aside about 2/3 cup of dough for topping. In a 9x12 pan, line with parchment paper and press remaining dough gently into pan, pressing into pan evenly. Top crust with peach jam, Pecan Halves, then remaining dough, crumbled gently on top.

Bake at preheated at 375 for 30-35 minutes. Let cool and finish with a drizzle of maple syrup on each bar.

FAQ's
What can we expect from mail order peaches?

The peaches you’ll receive in our carefully shipped boxes are truly the peaches that have made Georgia the “Peach State.” These peaches come from Fort Valley, Georgia peach farms, where peaches have been farmed and grown for 5 generations over 130 years.

How do you store fresh peaches?

Simply leave your peaches on the counter until they are perfectly juicy and ready to eat. You will never even need to refrigerate them. You know they’re ready to eat when you can smell them (they are a member of the rose family after all), or lightly squeeze them each day until they yield to gentle pressure. Pro tip: look for the background color! Train your eyes to pick out the yellow hues of the peach. When that color turns from vibrant/electric yellow to a pastel/sherbet yellow, it is ready to eat!

How does Sunnyland Farms make sure we’re selling the best Georgia peaches you can find online?

We believe in supporting local farmers (especially our fellow Georgia farmers!). And at Sunnyland, we only work with the best farmers whose harvesting, handling, and storing processes and procedures match the quality of our own. Whether it is Macadamia nuts sourced internationally, or peaches grown just up the road in our home state, our promise is to deliver “Only the Best” from pecans to peaches. Just as we’ve been growing and selling pecans for more than 75 years, our peach partners have been growing peaches for generations.
