Valentine's Day Red Velvet Cinnamon Rolls
If you are looking for a recipe that will wow your sweetie with homemade goodness, this recipe for Red Velvet Cinnamon rolls is just the ticket. Yes, they take a bit of time but the payoff is well worth the wait. Filled with small pecan pieces, topped with cream cheese frosting, and finished with large Sunnyland pecan halves, this is a recipe the whole household can get behind.
Two really important things when trying this recipe, the dough is going to take time to rise and the quality of your rolls will benefit greatly by the extra time. If the yeast doesn’t have time to rise, your rolls will be dense. Here is a picture of the dough once brought together, should be sticky when kneaded. Cover and let rise overnight preferably.
Once the dough has hopefully double, roll out into a rectangle, fill with brown sugar pecan filling, roll, cut and place in round cake pan next to one another. Let the rolls rest for another hour, then bake at 350 degrees for 20-23 minutes. Finish with cream cheese frosting and Sunnyland Large Pecan Pieces and you have a Valentine’s treat that is sure to please the entire family. Recipe Link:
