Sunnyland Turkey Truffles

Makes: 18-20 balls
Truffles
  • 1 package of Oreos
  • 4oz of cream cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
Truffle Decorating

Directions:

  1. Use a food processor to crush Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Depending on size of food processor, crushing the package of Oreos will take multiple rounds of cookies.
  2. Transfer to a medium bowl.
  3. Add softened cream cheese, cinnamon, and salt
  4. Mix well with utensil or hands until all ingredients are well-combined
  5. Scoop 1 1/2 Tbsp balls, should make between 18 and 20.
  6. Place balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and into the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  7. Once truffle balls are firm, melt chocolate chips in small mixing bowl with 1 Tbsp of coconut oil.
  8. Dip truffles into melted chocolate one at a time, allowing excess chocolate to drip off. If truffles are falling apart, place back in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  9. Before chocolate hardens on the truffles; place two candy eyeballs, one red M&M as the beak, and three pecan halves as feathers.
  10. If chocolate hardens on truffles quickly, dip each decoration into melted chocolate to act as a glue when placing on the truffle.
  11. Once decorated, place truffles back in the refrigerator to allow truffles and decorations to fully set. We reccommend 20 minutes at the minimum.

Keep truffles refrigerated, they will last for 1 week in a refrigerated sealed container.
