Hint:  To Blanch Whole Almonds:
In saucepan, cover shelled almonds with cold water. Over high heat, heat to boiling; remove at once from heat and drain. Cool almonds in cold water; press each almond between thumb and forefinger to slip off skin. Dry almonds on paper towels.
